The Challenge
State Shuttle is a New Jersey ground transportation company that has been in business since 1989, and it has the reputation to show for it. The Instagram account did not reflect any of that. Posting was sporadic, everything was a static graphic, and the account was averaging 61 people reached per month across the first quarter of the year. There was no content strategy, no production rhythm, and nobody whose job it was to own either.
The brief was not to post more. It was to build something that ran every week without the owner having to think about it.
What SCC Did
Built the system first, then ran it.
Strategy Before Editing
Four content pillars were defined up front, so every piece had a job before anyone opened an editor. Brand rules were locked in writing.
A Fixed Weekly Cadence
Three reels, one carousel, and three stories every week, with captions written and organized by day.
A Production Pipeline That Never Stalls
A b-roll library catalogued and tagged by use case, so production never waited on footage. An SOP covering the full chain, from script to delivery to approval.
Short-Form as the Backbone
The account had never published a reel. The first one went out April 9, and short-form became the backbone of everything after it.
The Numbers
Instagram, measured against a three-month baseline before the engagement.
| Per month | Jan 1 to Apr 8 | Apr 9 to Sep 17 |
|---|---|---|
| Reach | 61 | 1,000 |
| Content interactions | 3.8 | 57.3 |
| Profile visits | 16.9 | 50.5 |
| Views | 1,388 | 3,671 |
At the individual post level the pattern is the same. Average views per post went from 44.5 to 143.5, average reach from 27.8 to 108.7, and average likes from 0.5 to 5.0. The step change lands on the exact date the new content started, not gradually across the year, and it holds across four independent metrics rather than resting on one.
The Part That Wasn’t on the Account
State Shuttle sat inside a network of independently owned shuttle operators, and the work became the reference case for it. In April we presented the approach at the network’s operator meeting, and two more operators in that network signed as clients off the back of what they had seen working.
That is the argument for treating content as a system rather than a deliverable. A system is legible to other people. It can be shown, explained, and sold to someone who was not in the room for it. A stack of finished videos cannot.
Featured Work
On Facebook, the “pick your date, pick your bus” minibus reel reached 9,854 people organically and drove 792 link clicks from a single post. Watch it on Facebook →

The Takeaway
The account numbers are the visible result. The system is the actual product, and it is what turned one client into three.
